"Encounter with Things‧Accompaniment Between the Silence and the Relics-Xu Wanzhen Research Lab 2023 Exhibition"

Things and I encounter between the silence and the relics, accompany Life. Graduate students from the "Xu Wanzhen Laboratory" of the Fine Arts Research Institute of Tainan University of Applied Science and Technology present three major themes: encounters between things and me, between loneliness and oblivion, and companionship.
I. Encounters with Things
The first theme "Encounters with Things" includes Ma Qianwen, He Kelun, and Wu Peichen.
Ma Qianwen exhibits published paintings. The biggest difference between prints and other graphic art works is that prints need to be "printed", and the deep indentations produced by embossing are not only the trajectory of walking, but also the embodiment of covering and separation.
He Kelun is a person who loves to play with clay. Through the process of clay modeling and creation, he interprets the "encounters" in life, big and small, and discusses which "encounters" will become the key to changing himself. In the dialectical cycle between the outside world and himself, gradually Towards a more complete look.
The types of Wu Peichen 's works span the two-dimensional images and three-dimensional installations. The works often linger in the contradiction between wanting to hide and reveal, peeking at the past and dialogue with the past, and using images, memory and light to find the between concealment and unconcealment. contradictory relationship.
II.
The Second Theme "Between the Lonely" Artists include Yang Caixin, Wu Ziyi, and Lin Hongrong.
Yang Caixin 's creation takes "silence" as the core of discussion, and utilizes the particularity of the exhibition space on site to discuss the presentation of "silence" formed by separation and gaps through the layering of images. It is the individual's conscious or unconscious feeling of detachment and escape from reality, and the spirit wanders between reality and illusion, trying to find a balance between the two.
Wu ZiyiThink about the existence of the "legacy" of life with clay creations. Life exists in a tangible and intangible form of transformation and legacy, and the legacy of tangible material and intangible spirit that occurs in human beings. attitude.
Lin Hongrong has long been confused by the ignorant state of the future and the future. Using photography and images combined with different material techniques, he created "things without objects‧existence between nothing", "forms without form‧time and space", "empty nothing‧ "Between Virtual and Reality" are the main axes of the three series. After the observation of life and introspection through reflection, the work takes "between" as the core of thought, and explores the extended related series of works.
III. Accompanied Life
The third theme "Associated Life" was presented by artist Ni Yujing.
Ni Yujing uses pottery as a creative medium. The plasticity and firing of pottery clay are naturally changeable, like the company of seeking and longing, elusive to touch, and difficult to obtain expected proportional feedback. Mutual growth and companionship is a fetter and even more a bond. Emotional expression is the most straightforward, like clay that cannot be covered, and it is more about understanding and comprehension.
Seven graduate students used different media to create, and discussed their respective themes of concern with their own unique artistic vocabulary, and gathered together to present "Encounter with Things‧Accompaniment Between Things and Remains-Xu Wanzhen Research Laboratory 2023 Exhibition".
