  SHERO：臺灣當代女性藝術展是臺南市美術館自2019年1月開館以來，首次以女性藝術家為主體策劃的典藏主題展。參與展出的18位藝術家中，有12位本館自籌備處以來陸續入藏作品的女性藝術家：李錦繡、林淑女、林雪卿、洪藝真、孫翼華、高春英、陳秋瑾、陳香伶、黃淑卿、廖美蘭、賴美華、薛保瑕。

  為了增加展示的多樣性，除了邀請已入藏的藝術家提供新近的作品之外，另再邀請徐玫瑩、曾永玲、洪瓊華、高實珩、 高媛、汪曉青等藝術家共同展出，為展覽增添金屬工藝、雕塑、數位版畫、紀錄片及攝影計畫等作品內容。

  本展意圖展現藝術家精湛的技藝與物事調度的巧思，她們自不同的切入點、殊異的媒材進行創作，彼此間卻藉生命經驗的同質性和多重角色之間的張力產生強大的內在聯繫。從創作、展示到敘述，折射出藝術 家多元的面向和發展，突顯身為女性與藝術家的雙重身分，如何使她們在日常裡不斷地凌駕於社會向她們拋出的挑戰與既有的框架，並在每個關鍵的節點上做創新的嘗試。

   "SHERO: Taiwan Contemporary Women Artists" is the first exhibition focusing exclusively on the works of women artists in the Tainan Art Museum's collection since the museum opened in January 2019. Among the 18 artists participating in this exhibition are 12 women artists who have had their works added to the museum's collection since the preparatory office stage of the museum: Lii Jiin-Shiow, Lin Shu-Nu, Lin Hsueh-Ching, Hung Yi-Cheng, Sun Yi-Hua, Kao Chun-Ying, Chen Hsiang- Ling, Huang Shu-Ching, Liao Mei-Lan, Lai Mei-Hua, Ava Hsueh.

  To enhance the exhibition's diversity, apart from inviting artists whose works were already in the museum's collection to provide new works, the museum also invited the artists Hsu Meiing, Tseng Yung-Ling, Hung Chiung-Hua, Kao Shih-Heng, Gao Yuan, and Wang Hsiao-Ching to participate. The inclusion of these artists has added works of metal industrial art, sculpture, digital prints, documentary videos, and film projects to the exhibition.

  The exhibition seeks to showcase the artists' exquisite technique and cleverness in the mise-en-scène of objects. They approach their art from different entry points using distinctive media, and the similarity of their life experiences and the tension between their multiple roles create a powerful linkage between them.

  From creation and display to discussion and interpretation, this exhibition reflects the artists' diverse orientations and development, highlighting their dual identity as women and artists. It also reveals how they have continued to innovate despite the challenges and constraints that society at large imposes on their everyday live.
